In the bill we pay three distinct services: aqueduct, sewerage and sewage. An additional component that contributes to the tariff is a fixed fee. For each one, in fact, the rates must cover, in addition to the consumption of the individual user, also all the maintenance, expansion, renewal interventions that serve to ensure continuity and quality of service, health protection and environmental sustainability.
The rates are not set by the operator, but are determined on the basis of criteria dictated by the National Regulatory Authority for Energy Networks and Environment (ARERA) and local (AATO of Brescia), the investments planned and realized, that are verified by the Authorities themselves and also the Steering and Control Committee may or may not approve the rates proposed by the Manager.
The contents of the bill are established by Directive No. 586/2012/R/idr of ARERA, which you can consult at this link.
