In case of water leakage in the private network, you must promptly repair the system. With documentation of the internal system leakage and the repair carried out, you can access a reduction in water consumption, as provided for in Article 1.20 of the Integrated Water Service AATO Regulation.

To access the reduction, you will need the following documents:

• A copy of the invoice issued by the plumber;
• A copy of the declaration of conformity for the repair performed (D.M. n. 37 of 22/01/2008);
• If applicable, a reading after the repair.

How to submit the reduction request?

You can request the verification of the correct functioning of the installed meter. Damaged or outdated meters are replaced free of charge. If the damage is caused by improper meter conservation, the cost will be applied to the bill.

If the meter verification detects measurement errors within a range of -5% to +5% compared to the reference meter, the meter is considered to be functioning correctly.

If the verification determines that the meter is functioning correctly, the fee provided by the ARERA regulation, which is €45 plus VAT, will be charged in the first applicable bill. If it is necessary or requested to perform the verification through a certified laboratory, the cost of the verification will be charged.
